Why Meditation?

Regular meditation can significantly improve the quality of life of cancer patients. Research studies show that meditation can help alleviate a range of symptoms including pain, anxiety, insomnia, and high blood pressure. It has been shown to improve the quality of life for both cancer patients and their caregivers.

There are many different forms of meditation including Mindfulness Meditation, Vipassana Meditation, Metta Meditation, Transcendental Meditation among many others. Each practise has a different focus and method, with the same underlying benefit of promoting the sympathetic nervous system to enhance relaxation. If you’re interested in starting a meditation practise I recommend exploring the resources below.
